Hi i am going to start tiling out my shower/bathroom in the next couple of weeks and would like some advice. After i have removed the the old tiles from the walls i intend to also remove the old plasterboard from all the stud walls and also the brick wall depending on the condition of the wall once the old tiles are off.I then intend to tile on to the new moisture resistant plasterboard. However what do i seal the board with before tiling.PVA or SBR primer? Also is it better to screw the boards to the stud work or nail them? Many thanks

Cement board, screwed to the studs. Tiles fixed with cement based adhesive, no priming required.

Plasterboard will disintegrate when wet. Including the 'moisture resistant' variety.

Thanks.Yes i will use a cement based board for the shower it self, would i also need to apply tape in between the boards or would the tile adhesive be sufficient? For the rest of the room i will use the moisture PB simply because of cost,so would a SBR primer be useful to apply to these boards?
