A girl who used to deliver to our premises, young lad there always called her 'spanner'. One day she said to him 'why do you always call me spanner'.
He said cos whenever I see you my nuts tighten.
Looking at the depth of the jaw throat, Id say it was used for tightening square nuts, i.e railway issue.

I used a Spazzle for the first time today. It worked absolutely great. Brand new, made in Wigan. Proper solid metal with a wooden handle.
