I think, largely due to decades of relative peace for places like the UK, many have been lulled into a false sense of security, a 'it could never happen again' mentality. Also, because of technological advances, there seems to be an idea that we no longer require as many actual serving men and woman because 'wars will all take place with a joystick and a computer.' Also throw into the mix the woke do-gooders who think we should give up our nuclear deterrent.![]()
NATO is unprepared for the growing threat posed by Putin’s Russia
NATO officials believe Russia could attack the alliance within five years but NATO members are still not ready to face the threat posed by Vladimir Putin's expansionist regime, write Elena Davlikanova and Yevhenii Malik.www.atlanticcouncil.org
All of this combined has left us exposed for what could happen.
Anyone who laughs, thinking e.g. the EU/UK could never be attacked again on a large scale and/or that WW3 could never happen is either thick, deluded or both.
