Just a quickie. I have come across distribution boards in industrial environments with glands entering the enclosure at both the left and right sides as well as top/bottom. However, where I have seen these, there have also been manufacturer-specific covers installed to cover the side entry glands such that both the glands and wiring are not visible and appear as an integral part of the board.
Most recently I recall seeing these on a Hager DB, and wonder if anyone knows if these 'covers' have a specific name, and whether they are produced by other manufacturers?
