I am somehow sad to see Trump lose.
People voted for Biden as Trump had a s****y personality. But, Americans should have tolerated his personality as he had not invaded any countries and realized China's underhanded tactics of taking away people's jobs.
Forget for a moment that he's a sexist, misogynist and a complete nutter and as you say, quite simply look at his track record.
1. Boosted the economy (and no that wasn't laid out in advance by Obama as some misinformed people like to claim)
2. Created employment (and in particular boosted employment for black people)
3. Didn't start a single war
4. Actually sat down and entered into dialogue with Kim Jong Un
5. Held China to account over their trade practices and was in the process making the arrangement more reciprocal (Clinton - Democrat signed trade deals with China that cost millions of Americans their jobs, it disenfranchised entire states.
6. Brokered 2 peace agreements in the Middle east.
He mishandled Covid, as did 6 or 7 out of 10 world leaders, fortunately Boris wont be facing an election for another 4 years, and remember folks, when the next UK election comes along, the majority of voters will only remember the last 6 months.
Another thing that has become very clear is that pollsters are no longer pollsters. Their job is no longer taking polls and predicting outcomes, they have taken to selecting their 'sample audience' thereby arriving at an outcome which is desired by certain parties.
That's why Biden didn't win by the predicted landslide, far from it, it was nail bitingly close, that's why Brexit won despite Remain being the predicted outcome until the bitter end.
Pollsters know they can spread the word further with the help of 'useful idiots' like Notchy, Galahad, Noseall et al.
Fortunately most of the time sanity prevails and we get the right result, in the case of the 2020 US election neither result was right, hopefully in 4 years time that situation will be resolved.
