Hello People, I'm trying to fix a TV bracket to the side wall of a Dormer window. It is lined with what appears to be Celotex. As can be seen from the photos I have drilled into the plasterboard at regular intervals but have not hit any wood. The property is about 10 years old. Can anyone suggest how else it might have been constructed if not with Studs? Photos to follow as I've just discovered that they are too large...

It’s probably plywood on outside of frame, celetex, then plasterboard.
It could be celetex in between the studwork the celetex or insulated plasterboard over the frame
There’s probably some verticals or noggins somewhere.
At worst you might have to screw a board of plywood across the dormer reveal

Ok, I've now inserted a tape measure into the hole where the TV cable comes in and hit what I think is the external tile at 140mm. I've also used a longer drill bit in one of my test holes and hit something at about 40mm (Notch7's plywood?). I'm guessing it's going to be 18mm external grade although I've no way of proving that. Assuming it is, might I be able to drill a pilot hole through the plasterbouard, Celetex, and ply, then secure my bracket with 60mm M10's?
The vertical framing may have say 40mm+ of thermal protection on it, so you will likely hit solid studs 40mm in or beyond. They may be as scant as 600mm c/c. There will be a header at the top (may well have been swallowed up by ceiling insulation) and there will be the dormer trimmer rafters at the bottom. Your chances of finding the bottom trimmer, is most likely. The others (there may only be a couple) is anyone's guess.
Probably the worst place in the bedroom to want to hang TV, especially with light pollution coming in from the window.
