Which model of ecotec+ do you have? It should be written on the inside of the drop down cover.

Can you not just turn the heating temp dial down to zero or turn off on the time clock / programmer?

I have not got a time clock fitted as yet, however, if I turn the heating temp dial down to zero nothing happens. The dial just continues to revolve and the heating does not switch off.

Have you tried turning the room thermostat down?

Are you competent at electrical work?

sounds like the temp control is broken as it should turn down to minimum and stop

I agree.

The only way to stop your heating until it is fixed or a timer/roomstat is fitted, will be to remove the link between 3 & 4 on the pcb. (after turning off the power to the boiler at the wall)

HI,
Thanks for all your help and suggestions, from what you have told me I have now rectified the problem, once again thanks.
