Should I cut this shelf down so it doesn't stick out so far from side of van? Wondering if it's too wide. 20210204_160927.jpg 20210204_153003.jpg 20210204_150603.jpg

It’s hardly the epitome of design, is it? Unless its for something particularly sized, I’d replace it.

I'll give a few weeks testthen if it gets on the way will reduce width (how far it sticks out from side). Just cut it down.

Oh, oh! I'd watch out - "Sir" won't be giving you a gold star, not even a blue one, will you "foxy"?...

I've seen whole forums devoted to van racking. o_O

I remember the good old days when I worked out of the back of a Ford Sierra - sapphire with the boot. Fold down the back seats for the mixer. Lol. Did it for years.

I worked for year with a passat, blacked out windows and rear seats down.
Then one day a bored copper decided that the tinted windows were too dark and made me remove the film there and then.
Cleared the car and bought a van.
    Much better though.
20 years later, the passat is still running fine, and rear seats are now usable as a family car.
