Likewise, we may have fallen if Germany wasn't fighting on 2 fronts. If Germany didn't try to expand east we'd probably all be speaking German now. At least 25 million Soviet citizens died, unbelievable numbers in such a short time.

It's a mix of Latin, Nordic, German and French, just like many Brits!

Was a turning point in the war, probably that and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour later the same year (41) marked the fall of Germany.

Was a turning point in the war, probably that and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour later the same year (41) marked the fall of Germany.

Big mistake by the Japs. If one single day changed the way the war was going to end then this was the day.

Well that's good.

Maybe we can talk about the Island of Great Britain.

Or the German Island state off the coast of the United States of Germany.

Or even the Russian Island off the extended USSR.

The Later two, the US could have no power to prevent. It would have been between the Russians and Germans to fight over or agree a deal.
