Velux window in the path of a fire escape route

Hi,

Building regs have told me I need to move the location of a velux roof light in my single storey rear extension as it is in the path of the fire escape route from the window above. The problem is I don't want to move the velux window as the purpose is to provide light for the old room behind the extension.

Is anyone aware of certfied velux windows that can be walked on or if there are any other possible solutions? (I am considering changing the window in the offending room!!)

Is the velux window already in place ? If so any chance of a pic of your problem! Without a bit more detail would not like to comment but it sounds to me that your BCO is going a bit OTT unless extreme circumstances apply
