Veritas Burglar Alarm

I need to do this walk test. Why is the difference between latching and non-latching?

Use the non-latching and it will beep different numbers of times to tell you which zone is activated as you walk around.

Walk Test done. Appear to be no problems - all zones beeped as they should. No sequences of 9 nor 10 - no tamper light on.

Forget omitting do a full set.
The flashing zones tell us what will be armed in the part set.

Zones 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 flash steadily (6, 7 and 8 aren't used). Zone 2 flashes quickly. Zone 3 does nothing. Tamper light on.

Link out zone 3
Link out the global tamper
Link between C and D on the sounder at the panel.

Then we should have a working panel.

Try that.

Still not done anything about this but interestingly, today the keypad started sounding an alarm. Outside box wasn't, main unit wasnt, just the keypad. Wouldnt respond to any key presses, had to wait a few minutes until it went off by itself. Zone 1 is lit and cannot be cleared. Have sinced switched it off at the fuse box.

Is this totally dead?

no, expect the outside bell to start ringing around 3 am tomorrow morning

;)
