it would be quite easy to have a two stage start mechanism flicking a switch as now but quite lightly with the other hand holding the circuit closed electronically by being in the body grip area
this would allow you to reposition in your hands a bit but as soon as a decent grip is let go it stops
you could even have a built in accelerometer ??

I have just bought myself a new bosch grinder GWS 12-125
CIP and it comes with a paddle ie. dead mans switch.

I've recently used my 4 1/2 inch grinder with a diamond stone cutting disk and a 0.5mm metal slicing disk for a few different jobs.

They do need to be treated with upmost respect and worth using the extra handle to get a better grip.

I never use anything potentially dangerous if I'm alone, always my wife about at home or workmates near by.
