Only until October, and if they're still furloughed until then their employers will have to contribute more towards the costs/pay NI. Just been reading that certain sectors, such as restaurants are worried now that this will make them go bust. They don't think they'll be able to make enough money with social distancing etc. There is deffo going to be plenty more jobs lost..

Undoubtedly there will be more jobs lost although I believe there will probably be more help for hospitality/entertainment/culture if they have to stay closed longer than other businesses. But a great many jobs have been protected.
