Washing machine waste Hose extension leaking

I purchased this washing machine inlet and waste hose extension kit from amazon and I cannot get the waste extension to seal:

A lot of the waste just leaks straight out the joint.

Any ideas what am I doing wrong. Is it even the correct adapter?

It's not an extension hose, it's a replacement hose. You will probably have to turn the machine onto its back and fit the new hose onto the pump spigot.

Which clip is leaking & have you checked the spigot is not split?
