Hi,
I wonder if anyone has advice on this...
I have a chandelier. I took it from a friend's house where it was wired with no earth. When I took it home I noticed there was a third wire, which I assumed was the earth. As it is metal - I want to earth the thing. So when I connect this 3rd wire to the earth, the electrics trip. When I don't connect it, the chandelier works fine.
I have just got another second-hand chandelier, and it seems to be doing the same thing.
Any ideas? I want to earth them, but when I do, the electrics trip.
Help!
