Well done Canada

And at the moment Americans aren’t seeing the full weight of tariff damage.

Also there has been a surge in importing and customer buying ahead of tariffs, so when that runs dry there will be a buying slump.

Trump is going to have to totally cave in and drop China tariffs……he needs an off ramp so we will see sectoral tariff cuts happening until all the tariffs but a few will have gone.

No doubt the MAGAs on here will still be screaming how great he is, how it’s the art of the deal yada yada yada.

U.S. employers added 177,000 jobs in April, beating projections and bolstering President Donald Trump’s argument that the economy is responding well to his policies despite predictions of a tariff-related slowdown...[although] Economists and business leaders have warned that the president’s tariff policies may soon weigh heavily on both the labor market and the overall economy if the administration fails to quickly broker new trade agreements and lower its sky-high levies on imported goods.

Employers have announced layoffs affecting more than 600,000 positions through the first four months of the year, according to the job placement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas. That’s the highest total reported through April since Covid-19 shutdowns rocked the global economy in early 2020. Nela Richardson, the chief economist for the payroll processing firm ADP, said a recent softening of private sector hiring reflects the unease of employers who are “trying to reconcile policy and consumer uncertainty with a run of mostly positive economic data.”

Politico

It's become a matter for mainstream news to maintain a presence at the WH briefings as the Trump administration attempts to blockade their output in favour of online MAGA influencers. They tell a different story to the one Trump tries to promote.

They completed the Trans mountain pipeline that goes to the port in 2024 but the prices charged for using the pipeline are higher than the pipeline to,USA so it’s currently under utilised, that would change if tariffs were imposed by Twump.

Still nowhere near enough.

I read that successive governments have scuppered plans for both oil and LNG exports by pipelines to the coasts on environmental grounds. I don't blame them. They trusted the USA. But they are stuck. A modest LNG project should come online later this year.

Both USA and Canada would have to spend many billions over several years to become independent of each other with oil and gas.

Carney is a WEF puppet who is programmed to inflict damage. Mass immigration and net zero are the weapons chosen by these people - even our own puppet Starmer. It's their blueprint.
But Trumpf got Carny in, is he therefore part of the global conspiracy?

Net Zero at any cost will do far more harm to Canada's already struggling economy.
If you are concerned about damage to a countries economy, I hate to tell you what’s happening in America
