What’s is like to drive and own a Bentley?

Buy a nice big Lexus instead.
Or from the 1990s, a W140 S-Class, the last one made with the spare-no-expense engineering philosophy, before the bean counters decided that they'd rather like some profitability, bitte.

I was talking to a mate in the know today and he tells me that Bentley are building a limited number of old style Bentleys, like the one that John Steed used to drive in the Avengers. Apparently they can’t be used on the road - track only, and will cost in excess of a million quid apiece.
Wouldn't mind one of these restomods:

Or an Eagle Speedster

I know someone who works at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Apparently they don't have a staff discount.

So Torsten Müller-Ötvös just goes and buys his privately from a RR dealer?

So Torsten Müller-Ötvös just goes and buys his privately from a RR dealer?

no, I don't believe he's ever bought one.

I believe he has the use of various company owned cars to aid him in the performance of his duties.

Remember that he is basically a BMW employee on a foreign posting.

A pal of mine once had a Roller but didn't keep it for long. Nice to drive but a nightmare to find any public car parking space big enough to take it. Couldn't get round some ramps in multi-storey parks.

My mates brother works on Bentleys in their motorsport division. He was involved in this recently. Jammy git!
