What a Tune, What a programme!

Anybody used to watch TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED from years ago? The tune is etched into my brain and that gorgeous dancer over the credits is rather tasty too!

The best episode I remember was that chap that bet this man his fingers that his lighter would light consecutively 10 times. I remember the other guys wife stepping in and stopping the bet. Apparently she had lost all her fingers in previous yrs.

Any other good episodes you remember with a good twist.

Top notch theme tune! I used to watch it religiously when I was a kid, enjoying the "twist" at the end of the episodes!
It was Roald Dahl that opened each story did he not.

I seem to remember one with a lady who ran a B&B but only took in young athletic people. She drugged them and surgically removed their limbs(selling them) whilst being held captive there and alive!!

Whats that other one with Royal Jelly and bees...with Timothy West starring in it??

one I remember from my youth is where some old geezer dies at the start, and as his wife is hurried out of the room they take him to surgery and remove his brain and one eye, to be kept alive in a metal box..
he could still see with his eye but obviously not do anything..

The one I always remember is the con-man who dressed up as Vicar to get people to part with their old antique's, he conned a couple of farmers into giving away an old chest on the guise that it was firewood when really it was worth ££££s he returned later and had a heartattack when he realised they'd taken an axe to it to get it out the front door!

That was on yesterday and it turned out that he had been feeding the jelly to his baby as it would not feed on its milk. When his wife found out about it, she went mad but he explained that he had been eating gallons of it with no ill effect.......... he then started buzzing like a bee
