Your bitterness and anger come through in every post John. I pity you. I can't imagine a life lived with no joy, no happiness, no fulfillment. How sad.

oh look the good old false argument, trotted out by the right wing: anybody who criticises this government must be bitter and sad.

Churchill was the right man at the right time for the UK during the second world war but to forget all his mistakes is being dishonest to his legacy
No one is forgetting them...I do not think he is up there with Hitler as a genocidal maniac.Do you?

Straw man argument. You really are being idiotic with that line of reasoning.

I suggest you read the volumous work that Churchill produced, not all of it great but it's clear he did not have a particular like for Indian people!

I feel it has become more dangerous than that. The Government has lost support from many soft conservatives and anyone who thinks their response has been less than Governmental shall we say. They are now preaching to their most vocal supporters.

all this hatred and vitriol from the RWRs because they cannot face up to this question:

Does winning a war excuse all the actions of the leader of a country?

They know what the answer is but cannot bear to say it.

I don't see bitterness in Johns post that you highlighted. I do see someone who's fed up with the really fabulous parts of the UK being eroded by underfunding and cruddy governments. Is that not understandable?

Are people not allowed a point of view? I see many a miserable post here about foreigners, brexit etc, JohnD isn't alone. The whole GD forum is made up of wingers and people who just want to put down others!!!

I was referring to the totality of JohnD's posts in GD which I think you know already. The point is the point of view.

There's no argument and it's not about the Government.

No it is not...You said let us not forget his faults.I agree..But Dazzle has been referencing a book that states Churchill was as bad as Hilter ..I disagree...F off with your """strawman"""bolox

It is a straw man argument because you are taking an argument with someone else and using it the discussion re with myself which it has no bearing!

What book is this?
