What have you been doing today?

Did a bit of skip diving earlier today. Pulled 3 brand new 12” gravel boards from a skip down my road outside a house that builders have been renovating for the last 9 months. I will use them to fit along the 3 fence panels by our flower bed which have rotted at the bottom as we banked the soil up too high. I should be able to repair the panels to by trimming 12” off the bottom. Bloody heavy though, I’ll need a hand to slot them into place.

Went out for lunch with friends (1) of 50 years that we hadn’t seen since Christmas. Went to a restaurant about 20 miles from our house and we were telling our friends (1) that the last time we went there over 40 years ago we saw some mutual friends who arrived by chance who also lived 20+ miles away. As we were telling that story, we spotted ANOTHER couple of friends (2) that we knew who were also miles out of their usual manor! The friends we were with (1) knew them, as by chance, we were on holiday on a Caribbean cruise in 2011 with the friends (2) and the friends (1) we were with today turned up on the same ship. Confused? I am and I know what I’m talking about. :ROFLMAO:

It was actually pretty clear. I suppose you could have labelled the mutual friends as (2) and ANOTHER set of friends as (3).

Anyway, did you have a nice time?

Anyway, did you have a nice time?
Yes thanks. I took my drone to show it to my mate and before we went home, I flew it from the car park, right over Hanningfield reservoir. He was impressed. Mrs Mottie said I was like a small child showing off my Christmas toys!

Cut the grass last night.
Today did all the edging, cut all the hedges, cut the father in laws grass (two doors up) cut his hedge then jet washed the drive this afternoon......and relax, time for a Budweiser :-)

Our son is away in Amsterdam on a stag do so we took our daughter in law and two grandkids to Sea Life Adventure in Southend. Then we had lunch in a restaurant and finally, the bloody amusements. Knackering and expensive!

Setting up the automatic watering system in the poly tunnel, away for a couple of days in the camper, taking the bikes & plenty of grog

Drink licences were very expensive, so for small establishments BYOG was a loophole, some would go to the local outlet and buy it for you

Wiring up my kit car

Lost the will to live looking at wiring diagrams

9 (?) versions of sierra column switch configurations :censored: and colours
