Couple of miles walk to pub for Sunday roast and couple of pints of Thatchers Gold. Landlady does a cracking meal. Worth it just for the gravy which she gets up early to make properly with bones plus the addition of Guinness. Couple more miles walk home to burn it off while getting blasted by the wind coming across The Downs.

Year ago I bought a new old stock desktop pc sealed in the box. Got it for a very good price. My other pc went bang recently, so started using the nos one I bought. New one only had 4 Gb of ram which made it very slow - to the point of almost being unusable. Today's job was to install the 2 x 8Gb Kingston Fury Beast ram modules that were delivered in the week in place of the original 4Gb. Totally transformed the computer, it's now very quick and responsive. I was considering also upgrading the HDD to SSD, but the ram upgrade seems enough of a speed boost on it's own. Anyway, that's enough boring tech info.

Back from my break and back round my mums house, decorating. Just the lounge to do now but to be honest, I’ve hit a wall and I’m starting to rapidly lose interest. Don’t even have my sister here to clear up after me and gee me on as she's on holiday in Thailand or Vietnam or maybe both, I wasn’t listening, for 3 weeks. It's going to look minty fresh when it’s done - evertything painted, new light fittings, new curtains, new carpets. I wasn’t planning on replacing the laminate in the hall and lounge but with the rest of the place done, it’ll look sore so I think that'll need doing too. It'll be less than £500 so I might just as well get on with it. Was hoping to have it finished by the end of the year and ready to go on the market in January but we are away on Friday, going to Harrogate for my birthday and we have a busy schedule up to Christmas so I’ll probably finish it off in the new year. No rush.

An appointment, in hospital, for a heart ultra sound scan, requested by the surgeon, who is soon to do the catheter insertion job. Idea was to check my heart, in operation, due to some doubt, that I might not be able to survive a general anaesthetic, during the catheter operation - the surgeon (and me) would prefer it if I were out cold for it.

The doubt, was first expressed, when I went in for a kidney stent installed, several years ago. They said they didn't want to take the risk of attempting it, as they usually would, under a general anaesthetic, and so did it under a local. In the midst of the OP, I had a bit of a 'funny do', where I almost lost consciousness, so the OP had to be paused for a while, whilst I recovered.

Dossed about indoors with a rotten stinking cold. Not far short of the dreaded man flu. I bet I caught it on that plane to/from Spain. Bloody breeding ground for all sorts. Breathing in other peoples exhaled breath, farts, coughs and burps.

Had our daughter and her two rescue kittens (brother and sister) move in temporarily today for up to a couple of weeks as she's having some building work done at her house in North London. Her husband is staying at his mums round the corner so he can call in on a daily basis to check in progress.
16 days later and still here! Bloody kittens are ripping our furniture to pieces. Bathroom in her house still not finished - must be the slowest bathroom fitter in London, good job he's on a price and not a day rate. Supposed to be finished in a weeks time. We're going away on Friday for a long weekend and her husband is moving in over here. Oh, and the bloody bath plug 'ole is blocked up with the bloody hair she sheds in the shower. Nothing changes!

Jump starting my car. Has sat for a few days, refused to start last night. I've got one of those NOCO battery pack / starter things. Job done.
