Driving through a bad part of the city I saw a tall blond haired girl with a short skirt she looked a bit geeky 25 ish but the thing that struck me as I approached from behind them was the chap that had his arm on her waist it looked uncomfortable and awkward how he was holding her and he looked like a tramp maye 65 dressed very scruffy unlike her, matted long grey hair ......initially I though she might be a prostitute as I passed by the thought crossed my mind she might be being abducted they looked such an incongruous pair I decided to turn around to check if something bad was happening. Seen something before where that was the case.

As I turned around heading back from the direction I'd come there were two community police officers stopped the car explained what I'd seen and said jump in the back and I'll give you a lift " We're going that way sir we'll check it out " left it at that drove up to turn around and saw the couple again turned around drove past the again ( didn't look good ) drove on expect to see these community bobbies on the way maybe fifty yards by now ......bloody disappeared ...no sight of them anywhere ....gone ........

Contrast that with this ......Late one night taking the dog out saw a small girl about 10 dressed respectable hurrying along and should not have been out after 12pm looked like a school girl with a black raincoat on she crossed the road so our paths didn't cross........ flagged down a police car a few minutes later explained what I'd seen .....they shot off to investigate ....

Moral of the story don't assume it's ok if you see something untoward ....better to make a mistake than find out afterward you could have made a difference .....Jamie Bulger died because people didn't investigate enough and believed his abductors...... how could you live with yourself after that .......

This is shocking. I am finding it really hard to believe really. You were out, and you saw two community police officers?

A few weeks ago we were on our way to a family celebration in town. Turned a corner as we approached the centre to see 3 or 4 youths on bikes. One of them was between parked cars as though waiting to come out on to the road and as we approached at about 15mph another youth cycled out from the same gap less than 15' ahead of us. I braked in case another idiot was about to do the same. When we got to the end of the parked cars, about 30 yards away, this lad was waiting so I pulled along side and tried to tell him if he does things like that he'll get himself killed. Full words of the reply are not printable but basically he said that was his intention!
Because the road we were going down was quite narrow I was driving slowly when I saw this idiot come from behind and overtake me. He then proceeded to drive slowly in front of me looking back over his shoulder occasionally, meanwhile 3 of his mates joined in the antics. As I had 2 disabled people in the car at the time I couldn't get out and thump him like I felt like doing. However, after going about a hundred yards or so a police car came slowly round the corner and they rode away, unfortunately for them not far or quick enough. I flagged the police down and was explain to the driver what had happened when his colleague got out the other side and shouted to them to wait there. Lovely thing was, because we were in a heavily pedestrianised area to our right where they had ridden, a group of blokes grabbed each bike to prevent them riding out of sight.

Two nights later the police driver knocked at our door, (they had traced us through DVLA), to let me know they had taken the youths to the station for their explanation of events. They then proceeded to take them to each others homes and explain to their parents why they were being brought home by the police. The lad who rode in front of us was going to be referred to see if he did have mental health issues or whether it was a spur of the moment reply. If he has issues I sincerely hope he gets the help he needs.

All in all I have never had any problems with the police.

I was at a level crossing the other week. A woman a cross the road I could see had a physical difficulty walking.

The fella in his white van in front of me shouts to her, asking if she is OK.
She ended up getting in the passenger seat and the fella took her home. What's a good decent man.
However I still took a photo of his number plate just in case.

gasbag does seem to have an extraordinary penchant as regards the activities of females he appears to have no relation to...
(Remember his pervy observations in his cruddy whetherspoons pub?)

One could be excused if they were to wonder about his particular proclivities!

Pervy :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I was with my wife ! You might go to places where female's parade around in suspenders and stockings but I don't .....I did get set up once by a mate in going to do a job at a brothel but I didn't know it was one until I got there. The wetherspoons was the Spa rooms in Harrogate .........cruddy wetherspoons ??? Damn snob. You think like my son !

My observation of anomaly's and subsequent actions has resulted in a commendation from the chief of The north Yorkshire Police for my public spirited action and being called in to give evidence for a murder investigation. But regarding my pervy observation .....its hard not to see long white legs with thighs a meter long !!! Perhaps you prefer to look at men dressed as women ?

Take anything gasbag says with a pragmatic pinch of salt.
