Fasta fix boxes are for use in plaster board stud partition walls. Scutch chisels are for use on hard masonry walls. You would never use a combination of the two on the same socket.

All the options have already been given to the OP depending on what type of wall he has.
 
:idea: If you have crumbly walls and you can't get rawlplugs in, then buy a bag of undercoat plaster, mix in a bit of cement, slap on your back box and hey presto! (That's Italian for quick bit of work).
 
I tend to 'glue' back boxes in with drywall adhesive if fixings are poor like in crumbly old brick walls.
 
I used "Serious Stuff" by evostick, in my thermalite walls. Didn't want to risk coming through the other side by using screws.
