The difference between a migrant and a colonist is that a Migrant is someone who moves into a country and accepts to live by society’s rules. A Colonist is someone who moves to a new country and changes society and rules to fit himself. When Nelson Mandela and Ghandi kicked colonisers out of their countries we built statues outside parliament to honour them. So when are we having our statue of Nigel Farage next to them?

Mandela didn't kick anyone out of the country. He led a government of incredible unity given the circumstances.

Ghandi did kick out the occupying empire forces. But I don't think leaving the EU counts, and that's Cameron's and Boris's achievement not his.

a country or area under the full or partial political control of another country and occupied by settlers from that country.

Don't know whether the problem of mass immigration ,illegal and legal would constitute colonisation.
