Not strictly plumbing I know, but definately bathroom :)

My bath plug is broke :( ceramic disc has come unglued from plastic base with rubber seal

Silicone mastic or hot glue? I normally go for araldite or whatever epoxy resin for things like this, but I don't think it bonds to plastic too well, and I obviously need something waterproof.

Silicone or hot glue ........ Umm thats a toughie ........ Lets start with hot glue, its great fun having a extension lead in the bathroom........ Its like ridin' a motorbike up the drive without a helmet ;)

DON'T GET IT ON THE CARPET or you'll hear about it for weeks ....... NAY months

Cheers. Oilman I don't have any PU glue, but I do have both the others. Do you think they will peel?

John M, I once accidentally kicked my bike into gear outside my mum's house, wheelied up the garden path and very nearly entered Terminator style through the (closed) front door

As the bath plug is portable, I guess I'd play it safe and take it to the Kitchen. So, Silicone, Glue-gun or Polyurethane?
