How does Dewalt rate in terms of trade quality tools?

Any.What brands should I stick to for buying trade quality tools would you say?
I would rather spend a bit more money and get a brand that will lastAny. Only the 12 year old brand fan bois say things like "My dewalt drill is better than your Makita drill". They both drill. Select tools based on features you want or need not names to impress others.
Perhaps it's the battery that makes it heavy so the better the quality then the heavier the battery and motor perhaps.I've just started to re-equip with Makita cordless tools. They are solid and well built but by heck they are heavy in comparison to the cheaper brands. I suppose that is down to the fact that Makita are so solidly built.
I heard that Bosch was taken over by Black and DeckerHaving suffered a broken bosch jigsaw recently because their blade gripper was idiotic, I don't think brand is the only thing you should look at. You will also need time-tested and conservative designs. I replaced it with a makita mt-series budget unit that has the old style blade gripper.
Blue Bosch being the trade quality? But you see many Dewalt as well. Strangely I hardly ever see blue Bosch. Blup
A new one on me, Stanley Black&Decker own DeWalt. Is it true Bosch has been taken over by Black and Decker
Ah ok thenEveryone has their brand preference, so might be hard to recommend one. A new one on me, Stanley Black&Decker own DeWalt.
