Who's going to watch the King's speech ?

Anyone who thinks that listening to that corrupt privileged plonker is worth ten minutes of your life needs their head examined!

Is there anyone who usually watched the late Queen give the Speech, but who won't be watching King Charles? or vice versa

I've not watched it since I was forced to as a kid.

After the Wizard of Oz and before the Bond film :)

I shall watch it, probably not at 3pm as usually eating still, but will watch later when I can.
It's a nice little Christmas tradition, and will be the first King's Christmas message in a very long time, obviously!

We'll all be watching it. Will any of your 'family' be watching it or are they all bitter, miserable socialist ****s like you?
Why? I've never seen what people get out of it, she was hardly reading the rollover lottery numbers.

So that’s a 'no' from you then? Okay, I respect your decision, at least you didn’t feel the need to abuse anyone that has a different view from you. (y)

I am no passionate royalist, but the way I see it is like watching the Sugar Babes. I am not keen on the music, but if they start dancing about on the TV, I am unlikely to change channel because the music is a bit naff. I like to see the old royals doing their Christmassy thing.

I saw Charles doing the state opening of parliament or whatever it was, and I just got the impression that he was utterly bored by it, really couldn't be arsed, and couldn't wait to finish dealing with the rubbish for the plebs so he could get back to whatever else he wanted to do. Possibly involving carrier bags of cash and/or meddling in the democratic systems.

I'm remaining hopeful that he is becoming the best possible campaigning tool for the Republic movement.

I might actually watch just to enjoy just how terrible he is at public speaking, which is at least 90% of the reason his position exists. He's as much use as a mechanic who doesn't know what to do with a spanner.
