Well I for one don't mind the sparkys being untidy, I've got several bags of their "mess" awaiting a trip in the van round the back of my house as I type.
Which brings me to Bahco's question about the scrap dealers. The one I use is a pleasent chap we always have a chat and best of all he's giving me lots of bits of paper for that aforesaid mess.
But to answer the OP's question I would have to say scaffolders, they really are a breed apart.

Roofers every time.
They toss the slates/tiles/felt/battens over the edge aiming for the skip and it lands in YOUR wagon!
At least they say they were aiming for the skip.

I find scrap metal yard blokes rather rough and unfriendly. Not nice at all!

Anyone else find this is the case?

Best keep your head down and patronise them - don't look them in the eyes because each will have a different focus.....and mind the ruddy dawg

It has to be Joiners, not only do they make a mess, they also atempt to do work of other trades, and make a mess of that..... Messy job thiefs!

Now there's a fair few votes in it looks like scaffolders are runaway winners! (Usually they've run away with someone else's staging..) This completely confirms my own opinions. They're part man, part gorilla and, I suspect, there's a fair bit of swamp donkey in there somewhere.

A prize of a chrome plated podger goes to the chosen representative of their trade association.

I'd have put roofers ahead of plasterers myself, but it's a close call.

Surely its obvious why sparks are not included, we are worshipped by all other trades for our superior intellect and professionalism, the lesser trades gratefully sweep up our leftovers.

Yep that's it , superior intellect, it's all in the brains which probably accounts for their inability to understand practical things like how a brush works, how to drill a hole and how to lift a board without it looking as if it's been attacked by a raging bull elephant.
