Wireless or Pointless ??

Hello All,
I have tried and failed again !!!!
I seem to have the belkin card and router seeing each other, but
when I unplug my ntl modem from my laptop, (to connect into the router) 'network cable unplugged' warning appears.
Could this be my problem do you think ???

The message appears because you have disconnected the modem.

It will be easier to also connect the laptop to the router with a cable in order to configure it.

Thanks again Igorian, I will do as you say. Can I ask you one quick thing please, I use a game on my pc where I can be the 'host' and race up to 16 other players, will me going wireless cause any problems do you think ?????

Across the Internet? You might have firewall problems and have to open some ports. The game documenation should should explain it, but post back if you get problems.
