Hi

Can anyone help please, we want to put another security light round side of house. Is it possible to take a feed from the security light that is already at the back of the house, or does it need its own feed?

Thank you for any help.

don't know.. need more details..

what ratings are the new and existing "security lights"?, what is the existing light fed from? what size cable is the existing light fed with? what size breaker? how far is the new light going to be sited from the existing?
does the existing light have access for another cable?

hi thank for getting back to me .there is a feed from the house to existing light so i can override light. It is a new house. Both lights are 60 w the feed we have from 1 to next is 10 amp 2400w 2nd light is about 8 metres away from first box, there is LS blue wire with brown sleeve, N blue wire, L 2 brown wires.

When we tried taking a feed from the first one, the main light would not switch off, but 2nd light worked ok. Are we just not giving it enough time to go out?
