I am trying to replace the strip light in my kitchen, there are 2 cables from the ceiling both with 1, live, neutral and earth wires. If there was just the 1 cable i would know what to do.Any help would be much appreciated.
One of the cables will be the supply,i;e; line/neutral and earth. The other will be the switch cable, does one of the blue/black cores have a red/brown sleeve? Normally one the two red/brown are connected together in a separate t/b and the incoming neutral to the neutral terminal, the other black/blue to the live/line terminal and the earths to the earth terminal. To find the incoming cable you will need a meter to check(CAREFULLY, WITH THE POWER ON)and the cores temporarily in chocblocs.
