Wiring Salus RT300 RF thermostat for Potterton Suprima HE

Ok mapped out your terminals

1 = switch live to boiler / cyl stat call
2 = neutral
3 = earth
4 = pump live from boiler
5 = ch on from programmer/ room stat com
6 = as above
7 = HW on from programmer / Cly stat common
8 = HW off from programmer / cyl sat satisfied
9 = CH call from room stat

There is no permanent live in the wiring centre

Matt

Looks like a link wire from 2 - 4 N to L in that case. :rolleyes:

The still too many wires in 5 if we count them from the right to left.
Nope there is no link wire from 2-4 the blue core out of 2 is traveling under the number 4 terminal that's all

In terminal 5 you have 3 wires
ch on from programmer, the room stat connection at the top and a link wire from 5 to 6 at the bottom ( which does nowt )

I would want confirmation of that.

It looks like another cable if you put it that way.

Blue 2
G&Y 3
Red 5

No link between 5 and 6 , either CH from programmer is going UNDERNEATH terminal 5 and 6 or live to room stat , looking at it again it looks like CH from programmer is traveling underneath terminal 5/6

If you look at terminal 7 (right to left) you will notice the black core from programmer (hw on) runs behind terminal 7 and picks up cyl stat common (only two wires in term 7).

Yes Mattle blue core runs behind terminal 4 and is terminated into term 2.

Thanks.

A picture paints a thousand words.:cool: :cool:

Do we all agree? :LOL:

I argee that the red in 5 from the right could be made permanent by moving it from 4 in the prog to L.

That would be fine if the OP were using a programmable room stat , if not a programmable stat then heating would be on constant with the only control being the wireless stat.

or as gaswizzard suggested earlier leave ch on constant and use ch on as a L for the salus.

it looks like its just a stat , non programmable.

Nowhere obvious you can borrow a permanent live from, so the 300 rf wouldn't work.

The 500 rf programmable one would though.

You could do what you suggested earlier doitall and make terminal 5 perm live by rearranging the wiring in the programmer

That or setting the ch to constant on

Wouldn't work with the 300rf stat as gaswizzard said
