Someone help please !!!

I have got a new dimmer switch to install. When I took of the old one, there were 4 red wires and green wires (the green ones were joined together)
however there were NO black wires coming from the cable. How can this be!!!
and how do I wire the switch? There are two lights connected to the switch.
Any help would be much appreciated.

It is perfectly normal not to have any blackwires at a light switch

Just wire the new switch exactly as the old switch was wired.

Miyav, neutrals dont connect to light switches. Ever. Your wiring was clearly done by someone who knew what they were doing, as they've used red singles or red/red twin and earth, to denote that all cores are lives.

Thanks both, so much, the only problem now is that the switch I have to take off is different to the new one, the old one has 2 ~ connections and two L2.
The new switch as two ~ conections, two L1 and two L2.
Again many thanks for the help given
