Have you tried #900 (the return c button with the arrow on it ) 47 ?
The "up" arrow.
did you reset it using the up down up down up down up down OK instructions?
after that you should return curly arrow repeatedly until it displays Alarm On, then 0000 OK.
I don't see the message you show, in my instructions.
I have an idea that on some models, for letters, you press a number then "down arrow" and it cycles through with each press.
e.g.
press 1, it displays "1"
down "A"
down "B"
down "C"
down "1"
if not, then "Y" might mean "Yes" which is the confirm button with the tick.
