she said ..... she cant have kids ...Fact , the Dr had said at puberty with her about childbirth ..

Dear Moz - I am so sorry that you and Wendy are unlikely to recognize your dreams of a family. But better to avoid more possible heartbreak by having a miscarriage or a stillbirth, eh ? You are still both young enough to consider adoption (I guess ?) or maybe fostering. You would of course need to prove that you were off the booze for either option.......

There are loads of little children who need a family - but people are selfish and only want a six week old blue eyed blonde baby. Maybe you could find it in your heart to welcome a toddler or slightly older child ?
Give it what you didn't have when you were growing up...

Very best of luck whatever you decide. You are a good person and plainly Wendy is a great girl. Keep us posted - we really do care.

Moz - this is a dfficult one for me. I haven't any offspring by choice (and husband's agreement of course). Obviously this is hurtful to people who desperately want a child, but if I just say no, I haven't any children, it engenders undeserved sympathy. I have often said that it would be ironic if the pill-popping was for nowt and I couldn't conceive anyway. But that's life - what is right for one is not right for another. I like babies and am quite competent with them, its when they get out of the pram.... But that probably tells you what a selfish cow I am...
My career has been everything - no time or inclination for a different kind of stress.

Here we are stealing a thread - and Softus will see me in a 'different light'
too.....
