socket outlets

How are they wired?

And who did it? I hope that their time wasn't paid for, for it would surely have been cheaper to buy a bunch of ready made PDUs...

I've got nearly that many under my desk

What's that silver box type thing that is connected to what looks like a TV amplifier/splitter?

A couple lengths of cheap MT 100x50 dado trunk would have been far quicker and easier.

What is the install for? Looks like it is all on a single ring or a couple radials judging by the MMT2 trunk.

Its a variable attenuator, as bought from screwfix.

They work well if you gain is too high- well mine does

Looks like an NHS job? I seen loads of them like that at work, full walls with sockets for charging medical equipment. Installed just like that.

If I installed it I would use Dado trunking with each row wired as a ring with conduit cable all taken back to a dedicated CU with either an RCCB main switch or indevidual RCBOs with the CU as part of a submain.

I like Dado trunking, but it is amazingly expensive.

I fitted this in my office and don't remember it as being eye-wateringly wallet-bashing.

This is just a small section, it runs for 5 metres in total, carrying power & telecoms.

The Marshall Tufflex 4x2 maxi trunking is dirt cheap ;-) It is square in profile, rather than having the top and bottom quadrant, but we use it regularly.
