Pulling my hair out over this one!
Boiler will not start - no voltage to fan. (power light on pcb does come on)I know normally its the pcb but i have tried 3 different ones (2 re-cons and 1 brand new one) still the same fault. Checked both sensors on the boiler and i believe both are OK (show a short across them - NC) When i disconnect one of them (orange leads) it lights up the overheat led on the board which i think is correct.
I forgot to mention that the pump runs when the controller sends the signal to the board which i think is correct.
I have also changed the gas valve and the fan in desperation but not surprisingly this didnt work either (I know that the fan must start before anything else will happen but i was desperate)
Is there anything else which will stop a siganal being sent to the fan?

Been reading lots on the forum and have a question regarding thermistor? Mine has a resistance of 0 is this correct? The other sensor - think its temperature also has a resistance of 0 - is that correct?

How are you checking no power to the fan?, between the terminals or checking each terminal against an earth?...just thinking a neutral fault may be giving you 240 on both terminals hence no potential difference.

I do not like to see non CORGIs changing gas valves and it worries me that you have not replied to that question.

I went to a Solo last weekend showing the same symptoms and found the APS was o/c on the NC connection!

You need to learn how to use a multimeter or buy an auto ranging model.

I would agree with Tony. Check the APS. I think the pcb checks the state of this before it lets the boiler start. If it is stuck in the fan on position, the pcb will not let the fan start.

From how much time and money you have thrown away so far, an APS will be insignificant, whether it works or not

At what point do you think that it would have been cheaper to get a RGI in to fix it?

Finally got it going over the weekend. Two faults thermistor faulty and one of my replacement boards (re-con) was faulty. Was working well with new parts but now shut down waiting for safety check from a freindly plumber. Try and get some money back now from boards supplier but not holding my breath.
Thanks to the forum for all your help.
