I know several black gents who do exactly that with no offence intended. What's the problem ?
So what if I'm black? I'm standing there and take offence at the remark? The word doesn't have to be directed at someone for them to take offence.
If I'm out and I hear the word being used I try to ignore the ignorance of those using it but if I'm out with my young son and he over hears it he's going to ask me what it means, why they said it, why is it ok for those men to say it but not me daddy, why is it a bad word etc etc.
Similarly, if I'm out and I hear foul language, if my son is with me I don't want him listening/repeating it. I have been in situations where I have had to physically remove my son just because a group of people want to use either the 'N' word and/or foul language.
That's the PROBLEM!
