I really don't get the point of your petty witch hunt. Why does it matter whether BAS has formal qualifications or not?

Do I have any qualifications? Do any of the posters on this site?

Is all the advice I have given over the years suddenly invalid if I don't have a few bits of paper that say I could pass a few exams at college years ago?

well surely if you are not a qualified sparks, then you should not comment, let alone work in the industry......

Do you have any examples of dangerous or incorrect advice that either BAS or I have posted on this site? We've made enough posts between us, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something to back up your stance.

BAS has been banned from a site, was that for giving incorrect information?

I think it would be best if posts remained on topic to help the poster, people doing research through archives in the future and for the sake of the forum in general.

Can you show any posts in this thread by BAS or anyone else for that matter that are inaccurate, if so can you post the reg numbers that are contravened?

the number of posts is irreverant...

so competence means part p. the 5 day course so you can say you are a qualified spark...

well i suppose they have some paper qualifications to quantify their answers on this site...

he will not say why... just ignores it.. that is why i ask.... maybe it was dangerous and ill informed advice... who knows...

maybe the poster would like to know the history of the advisor... as some think you get deliberate wrong information oin the plumbing forum....

BAS has never pretended to be anything but a gifted amateur - and in my opinion, he's a most intelligent, valuable and lucid contributor to all fora that he's joined.

OK, so he's been banned from certain fora, but that's because certain members there couldn't handle his occasional caustic manner. I've never known BAS to be unfair or disingenuous with any of his posts.....
