A fox will kill for the fun of it

Not true.
But humans certainly do.

A fox will also come back for the rest of the hens if left... People see hens dead and no fox around then put it down to the fox killing for fun. What they don't realise is that the fox came back but the hens were moved and the coup fix.

My cottage is directly across from the start of a footpath and I've lost count of the amount of times the farmer has had to fix the hinges because people climb all over it!!

Mmmm, support I think isn't needed.

Why haven't the parish council installed a kissing gate or a stile?

It has a stile at the side of the gate...

Fact of the matter is that I was in that situation (25 years ago) and yes he was a lucky man. One thing is for sure, he will think twice before he goes near my family or another for that matter.

I`ll start with this above. Will address the rest as we go on.

You make out he was hunting you and your partner.

So he was lucky? Because you somehow got him to dig his own grave and then let him go?????????
How were you caught?
Bet you never handed yourself in.

Why/how was he attacking your family? Or do you class Foxes as family?
You attacked someone and apparently said you were going to kill them, for a animal worth tuppence.

And you still think and say you would do the same.......to the end????

Your a deluded idiopathic human who thinks your judge and jury.

One who mentions I am not a "Spin Doctor" or good at it.
I agree, I do not have the time nor inclination to tell tales and try and lie about things.
Your the criminal, charged and convicted with apparently kidnapping, false imprisonment and threats of death.
How are you going to explain that to your offspring?

You do know this will follow them for the rest of their lives.

Or did you think you could "magic" it away?

Lower

Troll or no troll hes so easy to wind up ;)

His type (anti) does not bother me, but we seem to bother him

instead of lowering the the tone of discussion to school yard level.
Indeed - Just the other day me and Julio down by the school yard , were discussing foxhunting - he said... "It`s against the law" ; kind of ended the discussion

But there is a link between psychopath killers and animal abuse from an early age..

Again, this is all to do with the social aspects of their mental instability, no where does it point to the fact that they are hunters make them so. Yes, they may have been abused and that is very, very sad. But that abuse does not detract from the fact that they hunt to survive in many areas of the Arctic, they don't do it for pleasure or just for the hell of it.

Oh and one set of reports or a link does not fully represent an entire populous - just like our Census may not be fully reflective of what life in Britain really is like (know many actual Jedi's do you?)

Have you never heard the phrase "correlation does not imply causation"?

We have, in life, linked many things to many other things it does not guarantee a causal relationship.

Its one thing if someone has to hunt to eat, and another thing entirely if someone that doesn't have to hunt to eat but hunts for the enjoyment of the
hunt itself and the eating is a bonus.

Its a bit like smacking children to instill behavior, it appears some supposedly educated people believe its the same as beating a child half to death

Obviously these hunt types believe they are superior beings and they employ dorks and subservient oiks to do their bidding.

All rather pathetic, like all bullies they bleat loudest of all when they personally are touched.

Fraid I'd have had bangers in my pockets if anyone had rode a horse at me .........self defense m'lord.

I think any hunter essentially has mental problems, just as deranged as psychos that are locked up.

And do you believe that this applies worldwide or only in "civilised" cultures.
Are you honestly telling me that a tribesman/woman living in the remote Arctic Circle that has to hunt animals in order to survive has mental issues? We are a species of hunters, we only don't do it now due to the convenience of food being available in thousands of different ways. But ask yourself, would you be so believing in animal welfare if you were left with the stark choice or hunt or die?

For the record, I do not approve of Fox Hunting, it seems to me like a pointless exercise with no real purpose - to me that is, others obviously see a purpose and may derive pleasure from it.

Wake up wake up The discussion is about hunting for pleasure not hunting for survival, please tell me you can see a distinction between the two. Someone that has to hunt to eat because of their geographical location is not the same as someone who hunts for the pleasure in killing an animal.

Fogging the issue, you take things too literally.
Many killers it has been found, started out in life by torturing animals when they were young. This has been recognized by psychologists.
Not all killers but enough for this to be an aspect that is looked for in psychiatric evaluations.

I was being ironic in stating that hunters were psychos not literal.
but the similarity of enjoying killing something is obviously shared.

and don't go back to the arctic or borneo to support an argument about that type of hunting which is a civilized (?) world away from hunting for sport as if there is any comparison between the two

Gasbanni, you lot like your little roll eye emoticon don't you.
I am awake thanks, what I was querying if you bother to read is a statement that branded ALL hunters as mentally unstable and queried this against those that hunt for survival. Only to be provided spurious "evidence" that there os some link between domestic violence and being an Inuit abused from an early age.
I am neither in favour of fox hunting or anti's pushing their beliefs on others because they believe in the sentience of animals (a fact that is yet to be proven to me irrefutably).

So are you happily telling me from your defensive stance that ALL people across the globe who hunt are mentally unstable?

Problem is that the Inuit are no longer reliant on hunting. They are no longer nomadic hunter gatherers. There are some that keep up the traditions but this is for tourism etc

Even the Inuit have super markets!! The work in the mines and in the oil fields.....

Yeah but not everyone that lives in the far north are Inuit...
