Shooting half dead Birds.

Look mate, yes there is untold cruelty towards animals, birds, fish in this country and other countries. But if in doubt report the farmer.
I once reported a whole field of cows that looked under fed! Turns out they were milk cows and perfectly normal and healthy.

FFS

I dont know the full details so cant defend or persecute the farmer in the OP but presumably he was using larsen traps to control numbers of crows. Perfectly legal if used correctly.

In this case the law would not be contacted and smashing the cage could be justified.

Only in your loony-leftist, satanic, communist, tree-hugging, freedom-hating, hippy trippy world would such an act of terrorism be justified.

Surely much more sporting to leave the birds to fly free as nature intended. Then blast them with guns. Takes much more skill to hit a fast moving target than something hobbling away on the ground. ;) ;) ;)

The advantage of having something hobbling around on the ground is that it can also be used for golf practice.

I agree but unfortunately crows, which Larsen traps are normally used for, have fantastic eyesight and will see trouble from a fair distance away.

However, once caught they should be humanely dispatched, not allowed to limp away and be used as target practise.

Or the traps can be smashed and the crow can be free to do what it wants.

You still haven't justified vandalising a persons property yet.
There isn't any justification for vandalising these traps as the traps are legal and on private property.

I have, to save life. You haven't answered the question about your dogs ;)

Vermin control has to happen on some level whether people like it or not. It's not about completely eradicating a species but controlling numbers as to minimise damage to livestock or crops.

Give me a chance to answer, it's hard navigating a forum on an iPhone!

He was trapping anykind of bird so that he could teach his son to kill without compassion, I was told the names of the birds but I can't remember what they were. when they were let out they were flapping about and couldn't fly and were then blasted with a shotgun.

I think it would have been much more fun to barricade the doors on the out side set fire to the house and shoot at the farmer and his family as they tried to escape from the windows, wearing animal masks and making barking noises. he would have probably enjoyed seeing his family slaughtered first by gun toting animals I'm assuming he would have appreciated the 'sport'.

Breaking up an illegal trap that was only the start you should have seen what we did over two years !

 sabotaged two tractors burnt out three cars smashed windows and poisoned his two dogs. cost him his marriage and his farm.

It was a while back and we did act like terrorists I'll admit now but I was younger..........wouldnt do it now but it seemed like a good idea at the time
