BRIGHT LIGHT OVERHEAD

When I switched off last night I went out on the patio for a last fag and to look at the stars, it was 0204hrs and a bright light came from the south west ish and disappeared in the north east ish, was this the space station?

It was definitely the ISS, past over at 02:03 and lasted till 02:08

The passes usually last about 5 minutes.

I believe you but if it takes 90 minutes to go around the earth I'd think it would be visible for longer than that. Maybe the shorter time has to do with the earth's shadow.
 
When I woke up this morning there was a strange bright light in the sky, which had turned a funny colour ...... blue of all things!!!, anyone know what it is ? :LOL:

2. Talking about the weather is a typically British thing, a sort of inhouse joke, we would not expect a foreigner to understand this, but me personally think you're PunyPrick operating under an alias so he can spend time on here, nobody believes he jumped on a flight to Mexico.

The altitude is exceedingly low, it's not even clear of the atmosphere.
