"It is everywhere: swastikas in Armagh, Sheffield, Plymouth, Leicester, London and Glasgow; dog excrement through the letter box in Rugby; “F*** off to Poland” letters in Tunbridge Wells.

It is in hospitals: in Oxford, a city where more than 70 per cent voted remain, a Polish clinician was told to “f****** go back to where you belong". A nationwide poll for Network Locum, an online platform for GP locums, this week found that almost half (47 per cent) had noticed more racism after the Brexit vote.

It is in schools: the daughter of a Polish family told to “f*** off back to your country” by a classmate in Essex; a British Asian girl in Broadstairs, Kent, being asked “When are you going home?” by her fellow primary school pupils.

Out of the 500 incidents examined by The Independent, 47 - nearly ten per cent - featured children as either victims or witnesses to racism directed at their parents."

"At least 500 incidents in the last five weeks have included racist letters in Tunbridge Wells, swastikas from Plymouth to Glasgow, chants in London of ‘First we’ll get the Poles out, then the gays!’ and violence in Yeovil"
Might that be a similar number or proportion of British, because of their stupidity, reacting against foreigners as

the number of attacks or incidents by foreigners, because of their stupidity, which leads some people to think that ALL foreigners are the same?
Far too a reasonable post for here. Stop it at once!!

Would that be because you've only just become aware of the term?
So why did you just call all and sundry here just plain ol' racists? Have you just become aware of the term too?
TBH, Yes. I've only just become aware of the professional differentiation between biological racism and cultural racism.
Now that I have become aware of it, I find it fits nicely into my perception of social awareness. It's also a useful term for differentiating between the various types of racism.
TBH, I made my original comment about why people bang about Islam not being a race, or whatever it was that started this bit of discussion, and only then did I research it to that extent. I was pleased with what I read.
I found that often with social science, what I read, of eminent sociologists, agrees with my perceptions, and moreover, it encapsulates what I was thinking far more eloquently that what I was thinking.
I've said before, I enjoy these discussions because they often force me to research in fields and subjects that I would not normally be doing so.
I.e, these discussions enrich my social awareness.
Yes, even your comments help to increase my understanding of society, how society creates individuals and how individuals create society.

Today we talk more about culture racism - the notion that cultures are absolute, unchangeable and define the individual's characteristics."
We ???, i.e they might - but they shouldn't.
Why not? It's a useful differentiation based on racism because of colour/ethnicity and racism based on culture, e.g. Muslim, Catholic, Spanish, Polish, Romany, etc. Do you consider yourself more qualified/experienced/positioned to overrule their professional opinion?
In 2006 the government's budget for the authority was 27.9 million SEK.
The JämO between 2000 and 2007 was Claes Borgström, who left in order to start a law firm with former Minister for Justice Thomas Bodström. Prosecutor Anne-Marie Bergström was appointed on August 16, 2007 to succeed Borgström. She kept the post until the four discrimination ombudsmen were merged into one agency on 1 January 2009.

Your qualifications/experience/professionalism in this field is.....?
Diddlysquat probably.

I don't know if anything has been lost in the translation from Swedish but, if not, then:

that is a misuse of words which causes confusion - either unintentionally because of ignorance or deliberately to falsely escalate the problem and malign those with genuine grievances.

Why did they not just call it "culturalism"?
You're trying to exonerate yourself by nit-picking the semantics of each individual word and suggesting alternatives. Some of which have been in use for 30 years or more:
The term "culture racism" was first used in the beginning of the 1980s
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_racism
Now for some spurious reason you want to adopt a different word.
Would that be because you've only just become aware of the term?
How long before you enhance your self-delusion by resorting to the semantics of each individual syllable?
You disagree with professionals about descriptions and terms adopted for usage and general understanding. Your qualifications in semantics is.....?
Diddlysquat probably.

For example (and it doesn't matter what you argue), a white Christian and a black Christian are NOT the same race.
This applies equally to other cultures and religions.
You haven't quite got the hang of differentiating between "biological racism" and "cultural racism" yet.
Cultural racism is a term used in scientific research to describe a specific type of racism which developed from the generally known form of racism, which is "biological racism".

I am not going to argue/debate/discuss this with you. What I said above is right.

You have proved beyond doubt that you do not understand the concept of the meaning of words, and think that that meaning can be changed willy-nilly, therefore it would be futile.

I have to go and sprinkle giraffe powder under my skirting boards.

Ok, glad you admitted it. Just a thought tho, perhaps you could've poured less scorn when talking/explaining about it earlier?

"What I said above was right"
Typical counter argument by the resident semanticist.
No rhyme, no reason, no explanation, no alternative argument, just plain old "What I said above was right"

You're the one that wants to introduce new words after the established words have been in use for 30 or more years, by professionals in their field.

You'll also need some "self-enhancing" magic powder to disguise your shame.

No less scorn. But more enlightened argument when "closet racists" claim Islam/Romany/whatever is not a race.

Typical counter argument by the resident semanticist.
Oh, it's one of the posts that you write which also applies to yourself!
Please explain, with examples.
Would that be the same sort of examples that I asked repeatedly for from you, when I asked you to show me where I had made a racist comment?
That'll be a "I can't" then.
Typical comment. Worthless accusation, then when asked how/why,when they're nonplussed.

Well there you go then, you calling me a racist was a worthless accusation. Thanks, nice to see you finally admit it.

There seems to be a 'core' of posters on here intent on either repeatedly posting xenophobic rants directly or turning posts into their platform for xenophobic rantings.

It's hardly a best-kept secret. These people may also be racists. Who knows - they're not likely to hold their hands up now are they.

Maybe but how does this apply to my post to Himmy?

You show me where I called you a racist, and I'll show you where you made a racist remark.

IIRC, I called you a duck.
If it walks like a duck.......
