Hillsborough All Over Again

On the Andrew Marr prog this morning Hammond claimed that afa he knows the cladding used was banned for use in the UK on that type of structure

There were also owner occupiers in that block ??

corbyns left wing acolytes and banner wavers have seized on the chance to blame the tories austerity measures as the cause of the fire.
Not only did they have a pretend election victory but now a terrible tragedy to shamelessly exploit.
If the tower fire had been started by a lightning strike it would still be the tories fault and the banner wavers would still be marching on downing street.

SHOULD being the operative word, and WOULD have under normal circumstances, but someone in charge of putting out the fire should have realised it was spreading beyond their normal understanding, and changed the evacuation procedures far quicker than they did.

The people who speced the cladding, authorised it, installed it and signed it off, are all negligent, but I think the final report will make a comment that more people could have been saved if the fire brigade had reacted earlier.

didn't the fire service arrive within six minutes of the call?

How much earlier do you think they should have been?

speculation , here say, rumour opinion's etc etc

there will be a judicial enquiry , with interim reports with in month , which will be acted upon.

The police are involved in a criminal investigation , parts of the building have yet to inspected by the fire investigaters.

All of the bodies have not been recovered , afaik no funerals have taken place

And yet

We have grubby politicians trying to make political capital out of the disaster with in 24 hours.

Then u get the likes of JohnD & his sexist cronies with there lynch mob mentality the same bunch of fruit cakes who accuse other's of being extremists
whinging on about the daily wail that no one reads and the cost of a pair of trousers :)

Noseall from oop North chimes in  he probably took his missis out for a slap up sunday lunch today Pie , chips and mushy peas :LOL:

and whilst I am here I suppose a concilitary word for the ignored member him again , who for some reason does not like me :eek:

You will never know any thing about it as long as there is a hole in yer **** end :LOL:

First Fire Engine arrived within the required time of 6 Minutes, second Fire Engine within 8 Minutes that is the legal requirement, after that when additional fire engines and specialist vehicles ( i.e. ALPs ) are required that depends on availability

Sorry John, I obviously need to appologise, but I'd thought even you would have reaslised that I was referring to the evacuation procedures I'd already mentioned in the previous paragraph.

yes, it's a pity that they did not guess earlier that a concrete tower designed with protected compartments had been turned into a giant roman candle.

yes, it's a pity that they did not guess

If you were standing outside the building watching the panels catch fire why would a professional fire fighter have to guess?
Scores of people seem to have saved them selves by ignoring authorities advice to stay indoors.

After 9/11 you would think it common practise to evacuate a tower block immiediately when a fire starts.

Trial by guess work , a lynching by guess work by JohnD and his extremist cronies
