Hillsborough All Over Again

It doesn't matter what instructions were or were not followed; wrapping a tower block in flammable material is a daft idea.

the government issued an Announcement today claiming that the plastic-filled panels do not meet BR's for buildings above 18metres

Strange lack of detail.

See our "building regs and planning perm" section.

An attempt at after-the-event arse-covering?

It may make things much worse.

Hmmm I wonder if every one in here or on this forum have followed or stuck to building Regulations when they have had work carried out in there own home or property :idea::sneaky:

:)

....including installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

would probably make no odds tbh

these large corperate manus will find some way of weaseling there way out of it by throwing a few million at some scheister legal firm

some lowly sub contracter will get his or her arse end, hung out to dry

Possibly lots of this going on as well.

And were many of these poorer people shoved into flats encased in flammable cladding?

Fitting flammable cladding to a building is madness.
Safety concerns seem to have gone out the window in favour of meeting EU co emissions targets.

As usual with the eu we are forced into things that we cannot afford.
It took nearly 3 million to clad the building.
Would have been cheaper to knock it down.

Have you heard that the cost of ten pairs of Theresa's trousers would have covered the additional cost of the fire-resistant panels for the block?

Hooray for spending cuts!

Energy saving does not compel you to wrap a building in flammable cladding.

Poor old roger is trying to find a way to pin the blame on the EU.

Poor attempt, roger.

I've also heard that pigs can fly.
