I wonder if zero hours contracts and the general gig economy would have expended so much in the UK if there was not a ready and willing imported labour force exercising their right to free movement? ONS data shows that nearly 50% more foreign nationals (as a % of the labour force) are on zero hours.

There is an argument that employers can only get away with sh**y terms if the workforce will accept them.

There is another argument that suggest employers would invest in machines if the labour force is too militant.

Let us examine the facts again:
A**e end, gasbag and foxtrot oscar has told us of some of the talk in there, gossip abut other members, planning on what they are going to do, etc.
A mod had reason to intervene, (we do not know why, but the indication is that the abuse and offence is worse than that in GD forum, see below), and they have been hounded for it ever since.
Mitch and a**e end has told us that abusive and offensive behaviour is more tolerated in CC forum because as they say, there are no 'prissy snowflakes' to be offended.

Now that some insight has emerged about the kind of behaviour that goes on, Bodd, mitch, and a**e end rush to deny it and defend the CC forum, claiming it is run along professional lines. They add some "professional" comments to their defense of CC forum such as:







In their rush to deny the kind of behaviour, they are (in Bodd's, mitch's and a**e end's case) accepting that they were lying previously.
So now we have at least 2 3 unreliable self-admitting liars defending the CC forum, and resorting to insults in the process.

This is exactly the kind of behaviour we now expect of 'self-regulating well-behaved' plumbers? Plumbers who, when they venture onto the GD forum demonstrate their right wing, bordering on the racist, and abusive behaviour.

They are acting precisely as a**e end suggests: "what do u think it is some secret society".
Woe betide anyone, even a mod who dares to enter their inner sanctum, or even criticise the CC forum! Insults and threats will rain down upon them, from well behaved, self-regulating plumbers.

Let me repeat, I have no concerns about what goes on in the CC forum. Plumbers in the CC forum can continue to misbehave to their hearts content, it is not a public forum. My complaint is how membership of the CC forum, and the protection afforded to plumbers, creates a right wing, often racist environment when those plumbers overpopulate the GD forum.

Any way way r bee I may have un-covered a plot and tbh it is no matter. The CC may have been infiltrated by Russian intelligence my mate Igor the bald shevick suggests that this may be a possibility

I am advising all members that have a front door knob or handle to wear a glove prior to entering there house I should be O.K as my front door is a key entry door

If I obtain further info U will be the 1st to know , this is serious & no matter

17 and18 year olds get nothing from the state as in not entitled to benefits off any kind
19-21 year olds can get unemployment and employment based help but are not entitled to housing as a right but can get help with housing costs up to perhaps £80 so shared rooms or houses or a spare room in someones house
as an aside
a way out off the often unbearable living with parents as a young adult it to have a child
i am not condoning young people having children they cant afford just pointing out it may be the only way they can see out off the situation that says they need to be 22 to have any chance off getting housing help in there own right

just want to add
because 17 and 18 year olds cannot claim unemployment benefit they are not included in the unemployment statistics
so comments like "fewer younger people being unemployed" simply means they have been removed from or not included in the statistics
also because 17-21 year olds dont have an automatic right to be considered for housing they wont automatically come into the "homeless " or statistics for people requiring accommodation

Your flippancy does not negate the fact that you, and mitch, and gasbag, and Bodd have told us of the kind of gossip and physical violence planning that goes on in the CC forum, which you all now deny.

In criminology, there is an unspoken tenet that the first comment is usually the most reliable as far as veracity is concerned.
Any subsequent comments; the person has had time to think about their actions or previous comments and later seek to excuse or explain them.

So should we believe you, gasbag, mitch and Bodd for your first comments when you told us about the misdeeds, or should we believe your later comments when you deny them?
Or can we believe anything you say?
You, especially, have been proven to lie on multiple occasions.

Perhaps the defence of you, et al, in the GD forum, from other plumbers, even when you are overtly racist, Islamophobic, etc, emanates from the assistance given (including finacial sic) in the CC forum, by a few members.
If those few members are racist, Islamophobic etc, they set the tone for plumbers to follow.
Perhaps, if those few members who run the CC forum, enjoy special protection, despite their overt racist and Islamophobic comments in GD forum, exploit that authority to post racist and Islamophobic comments in GD forum (invariably defended by other plumbers when they are criticised) then the GD forum becomes an example of how not to run a discussion website.
