Hi all,

I could do with some help as to where I connect the earth wire for a new wall light.

Only has live and neutral incoming wires. There is no earth, not snipped back or hiding anywhere. All checked and just the two wires

The wall light fitting does have an earth wire. Where do I fix this to?
It does seem to have what looks like an earth connection on the wall bracket but has no screw for the hole!
I cannot see anywhere that it says double insulated so assume the earth has to go somewhere?

I have included pics.

Any help would be good.
Thanks

If there is no earth conductor in the incoming cable, then you cannot use that light fitting. You need a double insulated fitting (denoted by absence of an earth connection and a concentric squares marking). which does not require an earth.

Please post a shot of the conductors in the incoming cable - all we can see in your photo is the sheath.
