So presumably if the leave/remain vote had resulted in a majority to stay and subsequently MP's decided that they believed it would be better to leave you would support that position?

If they really believed that, yes, but then the chances are that I would have wanted to leave.

I'm not sure what part of MPs doing what they believe is in people's best interests rather than just slavishly doing what people tell them to do is so hard for you to accept.

The fact is that most MPs believe it would be better to remain, so presumably you are happy that most of them are promoting what they believe will be detrimental to the country.

You must also think that that boat should have been named Boaty McBoatface.

Let's have a referendum for abolishing all forms of tax.

Well unless you're a clairvoyant you have no idea what I think.

What I find bemusing is that you (and BAS) seem to like democracy but only if it produces the 'right' result.

No, I have always said democracy is a daft idea - plus you are only normally allowed to vote when it makes no real difference to those who are really in charge.
The referendum was a mistake.

As for the source:

So if it was left to the MP's, would they go against the wishes of the majority of their constituents that could vote them out of a job at the next election? I think that’s like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas!

You are making the classic mistake of not realising the difference between a representative democracy and a direct democracy.

We elect MPs to make decisions based on what' they believe is best for their constituents, not necessarily what they want!

That is what they should do - or resign saying their principles will not allow them to do what the constituents want.

And you are making the classic mistake of confusing a referendum with an election.

We democratically voted to leave & we will leave or there will be Trouble.

I'm not sure where MP's voting for this 'n' that comes into it, except to cloud the real issues in fog.

I liken the current farce in Westminster to a building site where everyone's yelling at the brickie that they can't lay bricks . . . . Yet no one is showing them how to do it.
