Are they 240v or do they have transformers?

I'm going to guess the latter in which case you have 2 options
A) replace the transformers like for like
B) remove the transformers and replace the bulbs and holders with 240v versions.

If they don't have a receipt then forget the guarantee.

If they are mains powered then it could just be bad luck that they've failed at the same time. Try swapping known working bulbs for the faulty ones to test holders.

Pics may help us of fitting type.

@ktuludays with respect. You obviously do not know anything about this product. Everything you have posted is guesswork and of no help.
Let me educate you.
The FGLED6 is an integrated 230volts downlight. The LEDs and the driver are all one unit. No replaceable parts. If it dies you replace the whole thing.

The “10 year warranty” requires that the
QUALIFIED INSTALLER registers the installation at the time they were fitted with JCC. You gave to be a member of a CPS to get your 10 year warranty.

I’ve fitted a lot of these, and they die young.
Solution: buy new replacements.

Thanks for your condescending post, it was greatly received.

hi,

I’ve a got a total of 16 of the FGLED6, but I need to replace 4 failed units.

What can I swap them for? As the V50 is smaller in diameter.

Do I need to replace all 16 lights? As I can’t seem to find a replacement model :(

Thanks

Darren

JCC LED stuff is rubbish, a lot of it fails before it's time.

I think a lot of this type of product isn't under guarantee unless it was registered at the time.

If I was you I would remove all the lights, discard them, and fit new GU10 fittings, where the only thing that can fail is the (LED) lamp, so it no longer becomes your problem.

That does not affect your legal rights though. Goods must be fit for purpose and last a reasonable time (6 years {5 in Scotland}).

I had 12 FGLED6, all of which failed within 5 years. One was due to a failed LED chip, but the others were all due to failure of the wire connecting the PCB to the LEDs. It's straight-forward to perform a DIY repair (although it's a bit fiddly).

Sorry to jump on this post but does anyone have an idea of a suitable replacement for these? The diameter is 92mm and I'm struggling to find any large enough. We have 2 not working out of 6, shocking you're unable to replace components. Any help will be greatly appreciated

When was this introduced, I am sure I have claimed on extended warranty, am not a member of any scheme

I only knew about this, because I installed about 40 of these (customer had to have brass bezels, FFS).

the product came with clear instructions as to warranty registration requirements.

but there’s no requirement for these products as they are no longer available. If you managed to get a warranty replacement in another way then good luck to you.maybe it was under the sales of goods act and not the extended warranty. It’s a moot point.

while we are here, you’ve picked out a post from over a year ago. Are you trawling through all my input and trying to pick me up in minute items where i might have a tiny error in my - hopefully - helpful posts?
