EU Elections 2019

UKIP are the reason for the referendum ! They've served their purpose......... to shut them up and see them off Cameron put it to a referendum expecting it would be the end of them .....how wrong he was about how he thought it would go !
Now we have newer better champions to carry the fight on !!!! Without UKIP we wouldn't be where we are today ! A remain politicians nightmare .........
Yes, but UKIP was Farage and now Farage is The Brexit Party.

Surely no one disagrees that Brexit now has the UKIP vote - and did a bit better.

Doesn't matter..it's the sentiment of many people in this country indicating their frustration with the majority of MPs not honouring the democratic vote it's the message we are sending collectively to them to sort this **** out or you will be stuck with Farage forever . Don't forget that was 6 weeks and look what he might well do if another GE is forced (which I believe is highly unlikely currently)

Ok. BUT -

While the BBC is being criticised for their coverage of the elections for being pro-EU.

I would say their coverage was inaccurate and the brexiters are being misled and unduly encouraged.

This is the headline at the moment:

That simply is not true.

It (BBC) seems to be, like brexiters, thinking the UK is all there is - but even so 32% of the votes and 28/73 seats is not dominating.

They were; surprise, surprise; European elections where The Brexit Party got 28/751 seats, although Farage's group (which the EU does not distinguish between UKIP and Brexit Party) got 56/751 seats.

I now see the wonderful[sic] Emily Thornbury has woken up and realised that the changed mind she has been promoting for the last 35 months was a mistake and appears to have changed it back again.

No wonder the people are píssed off.

It must be the EU's fault again.

I asked a green campaigner what their policy was on cars on our roads.
More eco friendly cars but ultimately less cars on our roads.

That's about the only Green Party policy I agree with. I want fewer cars on the roads, for environmental reasons - but not their sort of environmental reasons: climate change etc.

Cars ruin the environment wherever they go; they clutter up our streets and towns in an ever increasing and anti-social way. Reducing the number of cars is actually conservative. Good on the Greens.

not honouring the democratic vote

Before the referendum the Brexers were telling us we'd have access to the Single Market, a great trade deal, £350million a week for the NHS, and our car factories would be safe.

Now they're telling us none of that was true and they actually meant the no-deal catastrophe.

And they won't agree a vote on anything.

Brexers are not honoring their pre-referendum promises.

Corbyn should be told that if u stand in the middle of the road don't be to surprised if u get run over ;)

Mind u he could always wheel out buffoon Gardener to clarify  or explain there position on this EU / Brexit caper  listen to that meely mouthed weasle and u lose the will to live

My god how long you going to hang onto that vintage 78rpm piece of vynil? Oh wait did you believe all that and vote leave? Now feel betrayed?

Why did the Brexit party gain such support in the EU elections considering the Farage message is primarily to LEAVE the EU deal or no deal. And with that message look at the support he's gained.

And don't edit my quotes selectively this is a debate not a place to massage fragile egos.

I said "the majority of MPs not honouring the democratic vote" now as I've mentioned many times there is more than one plot going on in the House of commons if you honestly believe the only reason we haven't left yet is because "the brexers can't make up their minds" then I can't help you.
How I see it is way more complex and I don't mean that in a condescending way. I have explained my views on this many times here already.

I will be absolutely shocked if the EU ever offer us anything other than a bag of sh1t, and that's before they absolutely refuse to renegotiate anyway.

A) They are scared we will survive and others will follow
B) Other members will demand a similar deal or threaten to leave.

Here's an interesting result from my home town (city).

In 2016 Referendum - 55.3% remain.
In 2017 GE - 62% for Labour remain MP. Ben Bradshaw (MP there since 1997).

I don't think anything has changed.

Yet, Thursday:

:ROFLMAO: thank's for that what a scream !!!!!!! According to the Biased's website that headline has been on there for two hours bearing this in mind

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ewers-slam-BBCs-biased-election-coverage.html

Check out the time of its publication and the no of comments, people are outraged at the biased reporting.
Smacks of a damage limitation exercise does it not .........I watched some of it on the Beeb and it's biase was palpable.

Your silly attempt to show non bias is quite frankly pathetic.
